BONUS post from Toad River, BC

Our little neighbour behind our tent…just love how they flap their tails before diving. Makes a big THUMPing noise but not so nice at night.

In the tent before we went to sleep or tried to go to sleep….it was freezing out and we did the best we could to stay warm. Cheryl looks feminine in the picture :-) sort of dainty like!

the obvious

After the brief freak storm we got a decent rainbow behind the tent

There are barn swallow nests all over here….and btw…Toad River is open all year long and they say because they are in a dry area they get only about 2 feet of snow a year. Such a great location.

Waiting for Cheryl to wake up so we can eat and get back on the road.

Good Morning Toad River

4 Degrees Celsius in a Tent?

We do not have winter camping gear. Our tent and sleeping bags are not winterized.  Holy it was chilly last night and this morning.  4 degrees Celsius which is about 38 degrees F.  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….but I see puffy clouds and sun this morning.
