Driven – The Arctic Circle

Every once in awhile I come across a video that just resonates with me…I mean everyone should watch this especially if you are an adventurer.  This guy Ed from New Mexico rode 10,000 miles in 26 days and how he sees Canada and Alaska is spot on.  I LOVE, absolutely LOVE his attitude, sense of humor….I mean everything about his heart and soul.  I really hope everyone who takes a look at this post takes the time to sit back and watch….it is soooooo worth it trust me.

I think this is my most favorite ADV video I have seen so far….and I loved seeing where we went through his eyes….BRAVO!

S2 Episode 5: MOTO GUZZI STELVIO NTX & V7 RACER TEST

Just love how the guy who does the review for the Stelvio refers to it being a man’s bike and for guys….I say HA…grrls ride too…The Italians should let a grrl review this bike too…. ;-) Other than that he makes this bike workable as a heavy DS ADV sort of bike. Like the Racer too.

You need to watch the video at the end of this post!  This is CRAZY AMAZING ART that moves!

Scott Weaver’s amazing piece, made with over 100,000 toothpicks over the course of 35 years, is a depiction of San Francisco, with multiple ball runs that allow you to go on “tours” of different parts of the city. It will be on display in the Tinkering Studio until June 19th!

WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO BE EATEN BY A POLAR BEAR

  • Cameraman Gordon Buchanan endured 45-minute attack from hungry female bear who wanted to feed her cubs
  • BBC man says he was the most frightened he’s ever been – and the microphone picked up noise of his heart racing

This is the terrifying moment a wildlife cameraman comes face-to-face with a deadly 1,000lb polar bear looking for its next meal.

The hungry eight-foot predator repeatedly attacks the safety perspex box – the on-ice equivalent of a shark cage – housing helpless Gordon Buchanan.

Filmmaker Mr Buchanan shows nerves of steel as he endures the lethal polar bear’s 40-minute sustained assault as it desperately hunts for a weak spot in his protective pod.

Paul from Touratech thoughts on the New 2013 BMW F800GS

Thursday, 29 November 2012 12:46 Paul Guillien and Staff
I really like how Paul describes this bike of ours.  I agree with everything he says and although we have not taken this bike off road yet I know we agree with his assessment as well. When he states the bike has a lean look that is one thing we LOVE about the BMW.
I should and probably will review the BMW 650, Triumph Tiger 800XC and compare it to the new BMW F800.

Paul Guillien, Touratech-USA’s General Manager, shares his thoughts on BMW’s updated mid-weight adventure bike, the 2013 F800GS. Continue reading
