Following a disappointing outing at the first round of Eddy’s Extreme Enduro at Buxton, Farioli KTM rider David Knight MBE put in a spectacular performance as a reminder that he is still the Tour De force in British Enduro. Fully recovered from a recent hernia operation he put on a show by consistently jumping a 4 metre wide ditch on his way to an outstanding victory in the second round of the series, lapping all but Graham Jarvis in the process.

Stan Watt, 2012 Dakar Crescent KTM rider, talks navigation, bikes and kit

Very technical riding in the Dakar…amazing what they have on their bikes and off!   Watch this video if you are interested in how a bike is prepared for such a rally.  The camera man has issues with focusing…obviously using auto focus.  ;-)

Stan Watt, 2012 Dakar Crescent KTM rider, talks technical, explaining the array of vitally important navigational devices he’ll be using to find his way across the treacherous South American stages of the rally, key features of his KTM race bike and the kit that he’ll be wearing throughout the race.

ADV-Touring Comparison – BMW 1200GS, KTM & Yamaha

You be the judge….is this a good review of the three BIG ADV bikes out there?  No Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200?  I guess we will have to wait for that review later.

2011 SHELTON VALLEY DUAL SPORT & ADVENTURE RIDE

Another great video from Curbsyde Productions. Sounds like they have this ride twice a year, one in June and one in October.  Would love to see about going out on the next June ride 2012.  This just looks awesome and I love the passion these riders have for the Adventure.  Cheryl and I have to go one day, I mean where are the women?  ;-)

That is one purpose for this blog, it’s not only to share where we go but about all the other exciting events, riders and info that I can find out there and document it.  We also really want women to see that everyone can ADV tour and have a great safe time.
